In the summer of 2004, the International Relations committee of the Kiwanis Club of Sandusky elected to sponsor a foster child in Ecuador named Omar. Omar was 9 years old when the club began corresponding with him and his mother Teresa. To the left is the most current photo and below is an update that we receive periodically.

Update on February 4th, 2007

I am very happy for the gifts you sent me; the letter, the notebook; the shirt, the magazines and the picture they are great and I am glad because I can see that your contury is beautiful with nice beaches.  Let me tell you that here in my country we have many ladscapes with fruit trees and beaches.  I hope God helps my son and someday he can go to another country and work.  I hope you are fine and in a good health and I hope you write me back soon.  A big hug from the distance; bye for now.
